This program provides services to children of Orange County, 0-5 years of age, identified
to be at risk for a severe emotional disability. Through home intervention services by a
bilingual mental health professional, the program aids them in accessing mental health
services. The goal is to link these children and their family to Children and Youth Services
for help. Our mental health professional provides a minimum of two home visits,
encourages the family to access services, assists them in accessing the services and
conducts follow-ups to ensure the family has followed the necessary steps. The
professional is also there for support, guidance, to provide instruction in parenting skills
and behavior techniques, to answer questions and to assist the family in coping with the
child's behavior.

This program is funded by the Children and Families Commission of Orange County.
